On Monday, McGregor said on social media the event was called off "due to a series of obstacles outside of our control."
"I apologize to my Irish fans, and fans around the world, for the inconvenience and appreciate all your passion and support. I can’t wait to put on the greatest all-time show in the Octagon," he said.
It was intended for McGregor, the former two-division champion, to make his first media appearance for the UFC since resigning three years ago on Monday. He hasn't competed since July 2021.
The Irishman and Chandler's pay-per-view bout will be the main event of International Fight Week, which takes place on June 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
