Blue Jays acquire righty Rodriguez in trade with Rangers

It was revealed on Sunday that the Toronto Blue Jays have acquired right-hander Josh Mollerus in exchange for right-hander Yerry Rodriguez.
After the trade, Rodriguez will be assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.
With Texas through 12 games played thus far this season, the 26-year-old is 1-0 with a 6.88 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 17.0 innings. Over the course of three seasons, he has made 26 appearances for the Rangers.
The 24-year-old Mollerus was selected by the Blue Jays in the tenth round of the previous draft. In his 22 games with the Single-A Vancouver Canadians, he had a 1-4 record and a 4.03 ERA.
The Blue Jays (38-44) conclude their series with the New York Yankees (53-32) Sunday at Rogers Centre, sending Kevin Gausman to the mound against Gerrit Cole.
