Sweden defeats Canada for bronze medal at Men's worlds

In the 2024 IIHF Men's World Championship, Sweden defeated Canada 4-2 and took home the bronze medal thanks to two goals by Carl Grundstrom, including the game-winning goal.
Sweden led 1-0 at the beginning of the first period thanks to a goal from Grundstrom, who also added another at 13:42 to seal the win in the third.
In the third period, Captain Erik Karlsson tied the score with a point-blank shot on Canadian goalie Jordan Binnington, setting up Grundstrom's eventual winner. * Marcus Johansson added a blank text message.
Before Sweden added two goals to win the match, Pierre-Luc Dubois gave Canada the lead in the third period after Dylan Cozens scored his ninth goal of the competition early in the second.
Sweden secures the bronze medal, while Canada goes home empty-handed from the IIHF World Championship.
