Tragedy hits MMA fighter and boxer Francis Ngannou, says his 15-month-old son Kobe has died
Kobe, the 15-month-old son of boxer and MMA champion Francis Ngannou, passed away, the fighter said on Monday.
“Too soon to leave but yet he’s gone,” Ngannou wrote on Instagram. “My little boy, my mate, my partner Kobe was full of life and joy. Now, he’s laying without life. I shouted his name over and over but he’s not responding.”
Why is life so unfair and merciless?
Why does life always take what we don't have? I'm fucking tired"
Ngannou didn’t disclose the cause of his son’s death.
"What's the purpose of life if what we're fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!?

The former UFC heavyweight champion, Ngannou was one of the biggest stories in combat sports this past year as he transitioned to boxing to great success. “The Predator” nearly upset lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in his professional debut, even knocking the undefeated boxer down during their 10-round fight. His sophomore outing was less successful, as Ngannou was knocked out by Anthony Joshua in their second round of their fight in March.
Ngannou’s efforts in MMA and in boxing have made him a beloved figure in combat sports, and faced with such tragedy, the MMA world mourned the terrible news along with him on Monday.
