The Dallas Stars acquired Cody Ceci and Mikael Granlund from the San Jose Sharks on Saturday, continuing the rush of transactions leading up to the 4 Nations Face-Off.
The initial story by ESPN's Kevin Weekes that the Stars were trading Grandlund to them was confirmed by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Granlund, a future free agent, is playing well for the Sharks this season, scoring 15 goals and 45 points in 52 games.
The 32-year-old's four-year, $20 million contract is nearing its end.
Ceci has participated in every one of San Jose's 54 games this season, tallying 15 points and four goals.
In a deal with the Edmonton Oilers this past off-season, the Sharks acquired the 31-year-old defenseman. In exchange for Ty Emberson, San Jose received a third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Ceci is now in the last year of a four-year, $13 million contract that he signed with Edmonton in 2021, with an average yearly value of $3.25 million.
