Oliver Ekman-Larsson, a defenseman with the Toronto Maple Leafs, received a fine for a penalty he took during Monday's victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Interference resulted in the $5,000 fine. Early in the third period, Ekman-Larsson hit Jake Guentzel of Tampa Bay, earning him a penalty.
The funds will be deposited into the Emergency Assistance Fund for Players.
In his first six games with the Maple Leafs this season, Ekman-Larsson has four assists.Â
