With a global premiere on October 4 on Prime Video, the series offers never-before-seen access to the most intriguing players and biggest teams in the National Hockey League, all at various stages of their careers, as they set out to win the coveted Stanley Cup throughout the season. FACEOFF: Inside the NHL joins Prime Monday Night Hockey, which will broadcast national Monday night NHL games on Prime Video in Canada exclusively during the regular season. The documentary series, the newest addition to the Prime membership, has its world premiere exclusively on Prime Video, available in over 240 countries and territories.Â

The series features superstar players including Gabriel Landeskog of the Colorado Avalanche, David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman of the Boston Bruins, and Connor McDavid, captain of the Edmonton Oilers, and forwards Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman; Matthew Tkachuk of the Florida Panthers; Filip Forsberg of the Nashville Predators; Jacob Trouba of the New York Rangers; William Nylander of the Toronto Maple Leafs; Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks; and Jack Eichel of the Vegas Golden Knights are a few more.

To help fans better comprehend the action on the ice, this involves developing the NHL Edge IQ powered by AWS data portfolio, which offers advanced statistics like Ice Tilt, Opportunity Analysis, Face-Off Probability, and Shot and Save statistics.
This is the fourth original hockey show that NHL Productions and Amazon have created together for Prime Video. The legendary Toronto Maple Leafs' 2020–21 season was covered in the multi-episode documentary series All or Nothing, which premiered in 2021. Chosen One: Alexandre Daigle and Saving Sakic, two of Prime Video's original hockey documentaries, debuted to positive reviews from critics and viewers alike last season.
NHL Coast to Coast, the weekly whip around show on Thursday nights, and Prime Monday Night Hockey, which will stream all national regular season Monday night NHL games in English throughout the 2024–25 season, are both available on Prime Video. In Canada, Prime Members will only be able to access NHL Coast to Coast and Prime Monday Night Hockey.
