Young Toronto Maple Leaf forward has requested a trade.

 

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson has requested a trade, as reported by TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston. 

The Maple Leafs presented a qualifying offer to the 22-year-old winger earlier on Sunday, but according to Johnston, Robertson does not plan to sign the deal and instead wants to leave the team.

Sources say that RFA Nick Robertson has no plans to re-sign with the #leafs this summer and has informed the team that he would like to be traded.

The American skater, selected with the 53rd overall choice in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, has spent parts of four seasons with the Maple Leafs, appearing in 87 games and earning 17 goals and 34 points.
