Maple Leafs' Matthews participates in morning skate, Game 7 status undetermined

It is unknown what condition Toronto Maple Leafs star centre Auston Matthews will be in for Game 7 against the Boston Bruins.

Sheldon Keefe did not say whether Matthews will play in the team's crucial victory, despite the fact that Matthews participated in the morning skate.

According to Keefe, Bobby McMann, who hasn't participated in a morning skate this series, was also on the ice with his teammates but isn't yet ready to go back into the lineup. A lower-body injury that McMann sustained on April 13 against the Detroit Red Wings has kept him out of action.

After taking the ice for puck drills and skating but leaving the team, Matthews was not available for Game 6.

Due to his recovery from an injury that is yet unknown or an unreported illness, the 26-year-old was taken out of Game 4 during the second interval and did not play in Game 5.

In order to force a Game 7, the Maple Leafs have won both of the games that Matthews has missed.

In Game 7, the Maple Leafs will play the Bruins, with the winner advancing to face the Florida Panthers. Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ will have all the action starting at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
