The most Improved player award or the Joe Thornton Award.

Noah Dobson - New York Islanders (D)

everyone knew that Noah had the making of an amazing offensive defenseman. and this year he put it all together. Through 79 games played Dobson put up and impressive 70 point campaign. Finishing 7th among defenseman in points, just behind Adam Fox.

Brock Boeser

Sam Reinhart

William Nylander

Evan Bouchard

The most underrated player award or the Aleksander Barkov Award.

Kyle Connor - Winnipeg Jets (D)

When people discuss the Jets it usually involves names like Hellebuyck, Morrissey or Scheifele, and rightfully so, those are some good hockey players. Kyle Connor on the other hand is rarely talked about until most recently. He is a consistent 30 to 40 goal scorer and had a career high in points and goals in the 2021-2022 season with 93.

Honorable Mentions:

Jared Mcann

Roope Hintz

Shea Theodore

Clayton Keller

Kirill Marchenko

The defenseman who put up the most points in a single season award or the Bobby Orr Award.

Quinn Hughes - Vancouver Canucks (D)

What can I say that hasn't already been said, Quinn led all led all defenseman in points with 92, With smooth skating and the ability to send a perfect strecth pass up the ice, it makes sense why he is one of the best puck moving defensemen. Joining six other defensemen to reach this mark by the age of 24 or younger. He joins Paul Coffey, Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Denis Potvin, Brian Leetch and Gary Suter. It’s the first time this has been done since the 1991-92 season by the New York Rangers’ Leetch, and it’s the 14th season of this kind.

Only nine other defensemen have reached the 90-point mark in NHL history at any age, and he becomes the third to do so in the 21st century. Hughes is already on pace to become a Hall of Famer.

Honorable Mentions:

Cale Makar

Roman Josi

Evan Bouchard

Victor Hedman

Adam Fox
